Old Fashioned Johnny Cakes (using white corn meal)
2 cups Adluh Plain White Cornmeal
1 teaspoon Salt
1 to 1 1/2 cups Milk
Beat egg. Stir in two cups of white corn meal, salt and 1 to 1 1/2 cups milk to make a thick batter. Drop batter onto well greased hot griddle and fry to a golden brown on each side. Serve hot with butter or syrup. Yield: 12 Johnny cakes.
